I like conceptual art. I want my works also to be more conceptual.
The idea that I am getting interested in is "de-materializaion".
I am trying to read and understand what does this means, through Lucy R. Lippard's book "Six Years".
Also, I am trying to understand what is Aura, does it really exists, is it really important to think of Aura, on the era of digital, when everything is so virtual and conceptual?
I want to know more of Roy Ascott's idea towards digital art. Is digital art really a medium to project our subconscious desire, and can it be a surreal world? But why do I feel so vacant?
I am also getting interested in Joseph Beuys. I just love his idea of what is art, what social role should art do. Also I like his work that is free from any form, free from any visuals, creators. His idea of social sculpture is also what I think I can expand through digital communicative technology.
But maybe I am just thinking tooo much. I should just start to do something.
From now on, this is my goal.
Read 1 book per week.
Idea sketch 1 hour per day.
Go to dumbo studio 1~2 days per week.
Make something at least 1 per a month.
And this is my another blog that I am writing for my interaction design class.
